Books by Julia Amythe-smith. Which, unfortunately, for you it means you could never have him? We met his wife when Daniel goes to pay a call to him. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Daniel and Anne unfold; hearing their thoughts and feeling their emotions: Now, someone was trying to harm Daniel too.

Still, I gobbled up this second in the Smythe-Smith Quartet in one sitting. My review contains spoilers and they’re mostly my thoughts as I went with the book He nearly bounced right off his feet, just thinking about it. It meant either she was lying, or she thiw think it was a part of her.

These characters felt flat to me and not at all what I’ve come to love abo Anne Wynter and Daniel smythe-smith were just plain boring. I used to read Quinn faithfully but haven’t read anything by her in recent years. The romance is sweet and slow-going. The epilogue make me continue my reading till evening. Nothing, but I personally don’t like those sugary endings.

She never looked for someone else to rescue her and realized she was in charge of her own future. View all 29 comments. God, it was just too adorable for words!

All rational thoughts be damned. After years of dodging unwanted advances, he’s the first man who has truly tempted her, and it’s getting harder and nibht to remind herself that a governess has no business flirting with a nobleman.

A Night Like This by Julia Quinn (The Smythe-Smith Quartet #2)

I am thine fair maiden, but you cannot eye-fuck me like that because I am a governess. Their dialogues with or without Harriet, Elizabeth and Frances were superbly funny, with a healthy dose of good-natured sarcasm.

Some of my favorite book crushes come from her books and even all these years later I still get the swoons thinking about them! She confesses she’s not a virgin.
