I will be extra diligent in splicing and routing the wires that will go to the controller. It would be much harder to tap into those wires right under the ECU and it would be on the opposite side of the engine bay which would require longer wiring as well.
Tape is a little half ass in an automotive engine compartment environment though, I’d highly suggest shrink wrap tubing instead, its much better for such auamist. If this occurs a few degrees of crank rotation in advance, the consequences may not be bad.

Feel free to ask any questions if you want to do an Aquamist install yourself. Chopping, tapping into wiring is not something to be worried about unless you don’t solder, or use a proper connector.
A general rule of thumb is that an engine will output one percent more horsepower for every 10 degrees intake temperature is decreased.
Other than that have fun with meth! Its nothing that will destroy your engine, but if you are concerned about top performance the last thing you need is your ECU making critical calculations with dirty data instead of clean data. Proper solder and tape will be more than enough.
