In both cases, a 1 in the “sign” bit indicates a negative number – but the way that works with the other 15 bits is different The address is from 0x to 0xF as stated in the datasheet.

If you read the datasheet on page you could try to use only the 2 bytes address to see if it helps. What is the relation to from linear address to device address? But I am talking about 16 bit ADC in differential mode.
