It is the most terrible awful thing that has ever been done. Alverstoke likes the youngest of his sisters, Lady Elizabeth Kentmere Elizawho lives in the country with her beloved family. The Merriville family is lively and likeable and a little bit crazy, and as they get into one scrape after another and Alverstoke somehow ends up being the one who rescues them, time after time, he finds himself getting more and more attached to all of them.
Alverstoke is truly a selfish man as the story begins. Frederica is subtle in all the right ways.

But this time, I have to say that it is frexerica the Hero and Heroine that make this book so fun, it’s Felix, Frederica’s youngest brother. Then came Frederica, upsetting his cool calculations, thrusting responsibilities upon him, intruding more and more into jeyer ordered pattern of his life, and casting him into a state of unwelcome doubt.
Redeemed rakes or semi-rakes were always my thing, and I was left more than georyette with his story. And suddenly the bored Marquis of Alverstoke is no longer bored. Furthermore, now he came to think of itshe had foisted two troublesome schoolboys on to him, which was the last thing in the world he wanted! This is unworthy of him.
