Kosko provides an introduction to fuzzy set theory and its application in neurocomputing and machine intelligence. Bart Kosko, explains it better than anyone else can.
It’s very interesting book. And if numbers are fuzzy, everything is. Every time I picked it up and flipped through it absolutely nothing drew me in and prompted me to continue reading. Very good intro to fuzzy logic.
Fuzzy Logic, before the term got irretrievably co-opted to mean ‘putting an asterisk in a search string,’ or ‘assigning probability to an event,’ mea I haven’t read others’ opinions of this book; I have a suspicion it will have been ‘debunked’ by many reviews.

But I think the author could have done a better job of arranging the text in a more interesting manner. Trivia About Fuzzy Thinking: In noiseKosko introduced the concept of adaptive thinkng resonance using neural-like learning algorithms to find the optimal level of noise to add to many nonlinear systems to improve their performance. It was certainly informative.
This book explained a very valuable thinkimg for thinking about imperfect information and uncertainty. I am interested in reading more about fuzzy logic so tthinking I can formally use it in future problem solving but kowko take the hard text books rather than this “impress the masses” self-promotion pop-science book.
Isn’t that a lot like Fuzzy thinking says that life begins at all of these times – to a certain degree. The first antiscience science book, Fuzzy Thinking is a truly important book that can forever change the thinkinb you look at the world.

Vielleicht ein Gedanke, der zu offensichtlich ist, um fzuzy genial erkannt zu werden. However, this is also me. Besides, broadening math for its own sake is always valuable. Fuzzy Logic, before the term got irretrievably co-opted to mean ‘putting an asterisk in a search string,’ or ‘assigning probability to an event,’ meant that the truth of many matters is gray. Undoubtedly, as a hyper-intellectual hippie sort of character, he decided he needed some pop-science publishing history to back up his academic credentials.

While not a fuzzy activist, I recogni Interesting book, but as noted in one other review kksko review, not particularly well written.
What is kind of amazing is that modern day neural networks often use a lot of what was presented here in
